I was a Vet and out was my first day live on my own. I was seeing very easy cases.  I saw an old man and we kept his pet. Then I saw a woman and her kitten who just needed a rabies vaccination and to be dewormed. For some reason, I could not draw up the dewormer. I drew it up four times before I finally had the right dose. The woman had been rambling about her kitten and I missed all that she said so I had to ask her questions to find out what was going on. There was something about bad breath so I looked in the mouth. The kitten didn't want to let me look but I finally was able to and the kitten's tongue looked like an oyster or a clam. I gave the meds and then attempted to write notes in the chart.

One of the receptionists told me that the old man who had been in earlier left without his umbrella, coat, hat, and pants. Also, the police were looking for him because he didn't make it home. I was asked to call the police. So I gathered up his things and tried to find a phone in the old, broken down, Victorian house we were working in. I found one in a desk drawer, but I miss dialed the first time so I tried to hang up and dial again but the phone wouldn't let go of the line. Someone walked through the room so I asked for help. I figured out just as she told me that I had to pull the cord out of the phone. She smiled and stopped her explanation and walked away.

I tried to make the call, misdialing again when the man and his daughter showed up so I abandoned the phone and went to give him his pants. There was a stage coach race going on outside in the fields. I watched it until it was out of sight.

Jennifer Laurence showed up. She garnered a lot of attention and I mumbled that I could (or should) garner that amount of attention since I save lives. Only Jennifer heard me.. Or she just saw me... And came over to transfer attention to me.. Or to give me attention.. But I avoided her. She finally caught up with me and asked me why I didn't want her attention. For some reason I said something as well as 'but I don't even like you'

And then I woke up
